As the design lead for both aloSIM (global travel eSIM) and Hushed (private second phone numbers), I orchestrate the product vision for millions of users. Operating as a 'Player-Coach,' I lead the UX team while actively contributing as a hands-on designer, driving cross-functional alignment with engineering, product, and aligning complex stakeholder requirements.

The Challenge

Navigating Dual Markets.

We were solving two distinct, high-stakes user problems: seamless global connectivity without roaming fees (aloSIM), and secure, anonymous communication (Hushed).

The core challenge was scaling a design team that could rapidly innovate across both products while strictly adhering to Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and Google's Material Design. We needed to increase velocity without sacrificing the premium, native feel our customers expected.

01 — Player-Coach

My role sits at the intersection of leadership and execution. I define the core user personas, meet directly with stakeholders, users, and present solutions to cross-functional product teams. By deeply understanding the business requirements, I shape the long-term company vision while actively designing the very interfaces that bring it to life.

02 — AI Workflow

To increase our cross-functional velocity, I restructured our product lifecycle around an AI-enhanced Double Diamond methodology. By integrating AI tools into the 'Discover' and 'Define' phases, we drastically reduced the time spent synthesizing user research and mapping problem spaces. This strategic shift allowed our design and engineering teams to dedicate maximum resources to the 'Develop' and 'Deliver' phases—focusing on high-fidelity execution, native OS compliance, and shipping tangible business value.
